Good Morning!
Lookie! a New thread! YAY! For some reason this morning, I've decided to watch a bit 'o Clack... and, well... I ended up going through the files and finding something I haven't watched in a while.. actually, I don't know if I ever watched the files of it after the night it happened. That would be "If I Never Knew You" - the duet he did with Quiana at the Florida VFC Gala. I didn't realize how much of his lower register it used, and how gorgeous he sounds in it.. and wow... It really just hit me in the heart this morning, and I wanted to share it with you. *unfortunately* I don't know where you can download it, if you don't have it already, and I have yet to figure out how to use yousendit... and i was watching my own file of it from that night, in big, fat mpeg version.. So sorry for being a tease about that. so, here's some pics of it.. my apologies for the graininess.. film camera, and didn't have time when I first posted them to fix that! lol ![]() |

Is this the first time in Claymate history that someone has said, hey, Clay, don't be long?

oboy, new thread!
Ok, now that the thread has turned over, I have a question or 2. Since I just found out I can d/l fast at work & burn stuff to disc, I filled 1 up with all the montages I have heard abt for ages but never saw. (can you believe I never saw Mr Lova before last nite? And 1 more query--am I the only one who had never seen this particular KSH pic? ![]() GUH. ![]() |

Dixie - off the top of my head, the only must-see montage I can think of is from waaaaaay back when - ncclaymate's TheFifthElement. Although, most all of the montages that are made after a tour ends where the montage-maker (lol) uses clips from the entire tour - those are almost always fantabulous.
When my external hard drive flipped out last year, I lost the folder that had all my montages in it. They're all on discs, but all on *different* discs, so I can't ever remember what I have, lol. Amanda

Great thread title YSRN! montages....Homeward Bound from the last tour of course, From earlier tours, besides the end of the tour pieces like Amanda mentioned, The Fifth Element and Keep Your Hat On, but I can't remember who made that last one...I'll go hunting. Hee. YSRN used my HTHAS hand ani in her post.
Stacia - 'Tis very easy to use yousendit. Just go to yousendit.com, and it's pretty self-explanatory. You can put in your own e-mail address so the site sends the link back to you (it'll give you one regardless after the file is uploaded). And correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that FL VFC Gala also where he rubbed his hand down his body while singing 'The Way'? Dixie - I seem to remember 'Please Don't Tease' and 'Stroke' being good montages too. I'll have to dig through my HD. ETA: I just went back and watched TW from the FL VFC Gala. I had completely forgotten about the lady who walked to the front of the stage to give Clay flowers, Jerome swooping her away, and Clay making one of his silly faces after it happened. ~Dr. Nat

Quote: Quote: Dixie - thought of another good old (and I mean OLD, lol) montage..."Rock Your Body" (Justin Timberlake song) by Claytina. Also "Real Good Man" - not sure who made that one. ETA Watching old montages is definitely hazardous to your health. That old AI and AI tour footage gets deadlier with age - especially because it allows for people to sneak a glimpse of Tampa in there and it's like BAM! And then you're dead. God bless those jersies that summer. Amanda

Quote:Ack! That's me she's "quoting"! Thanks for bringing that over, QM. ETA: Here's the full e-mail I sent to UPI, in case anyone's interested. Dear UPI: I wanted to commend Ms. Cukan on her column re: Dick Clark and his courageous appearance on ABC's New Year's Rockin' Eve. As a neurologist, I see first-hand how devastating strokes can be not only for the patient, but for their loved ones and those who care for them. I've seen it all, from those who recover completely to those who are left with global aphasia (unable to understand or speak) and hemiplegia (paralysis on one side of the body). Why is it that the media must focus on the bad all the time? Instead of criticizing the "disabled" Mr. Clark for choosing to appear on a nationally broadcast television program, why not commend him for promoting stroke awareness and giving stroke survivors and their families hope for recovery? As Ms. Cukan pointed out in her column, stroke is the #1 cause of morbidity in this country. Do they believe that the glitz and glamor of Hollywood is immune to this? I also wanted to thank Ms. Cukan for mentioning that Clay Aiken takes his status as a celebrity very seriously in that he wants to serve as a role model for others. As a fan of Clay's, that is one of the things I admire most about him (other than his voice, of course). Sincerely, Dr. Nat, M.D. I didn't really sign it Dr. Nat, of course. ~Dr. Nat

Hi everyone, wow we have a new thread.
Very proud to know you DR NAT, that is a wonderful statement. DIXIE you should know not to say list in front of me. LOL It is what I do----collect and list. I got a new external hard drive for Christmas, which I needed badly. I hate to take anything off of my computer, but something had to go. I choose montages. I have 428 of them. I just narrowed it down to the ones that I had to keep handy so this was a timely request. Here are my favorites. Some are very inspirational, some are sexy and some are just fun. I listed them by who made them because that is the way they are listed at ATCA. I have been reading, but really had to do something about my downloads before my computer exploded. Love to all and I hope we hear something from Mr. Aiken soon. I miss him. I love all of those wonderful accounts of the kind things that he does. Oh well, we will defeat him starting tomorrow. |

Two little bits and a nice picture on Columbiatunes...If someone posted this earlier, I apologize, as I don't remember seeing it. It wouldn't surprise me as I've been pretty scattered lately.
Columbiatunes Quote:This next piece is more of a 'letters to the editor' sort of thing. I love the bolded part. Quote:I've been musing about something, and since this is a message board, I figured I'd bother you all with it...lol. I've been reading everyone's opinions on Clay's blog...for days. Those that are mad he has not, those that are hurt, the ones who don't care, the one's who think he owe's us and has broken a promise, and it's got me thinking. Should he have blogged by now? I don't know. Not really. Ok, ok, maybe I should say 'yes'. He should have blogged because he said 'weekly' and all that, but then I look over at the last of the Christmas decorations sitting in the corner of my kitchen that I swore I'd take to the basement on my next trip down, and I know if anyone in my family says one word to me about them they will be seared to death by my gaze. I will get them there honest, I will. Clay is out of the public eye for a few minutes right now. Maybe he's working on the CD, maybe he's just kicking back with friends. Who knows. I don't, and honestly, though I enjoy the occasional random sighting like the next fan, I don't really care. I love my job, I do. And people tell me I am really good at what I do. I love my co-workers too, but sometimes I need time to do other things and see other people. I assume Clay is the same. He worked pretty hard out there for a few months. I don't mind that he's doing something out of sight for awhile. Should he blog? Yeah, probably, but I should have had my lesson plans for January turned in a few weeks ago too. *sigh* ![]() |
