YSRN -
I'm re-posting this here 'cause I don't want it to get lost in the old thread. I have to go hunt for a Halloween costume, but I'll be back with a second installment of Clay's directing debut. Clay: "Ah didn't lahke that... do it again." Actress: "But Mr. Aiken, we've been rehearsing all morning without a break! We at least need to break for lunch! I'm feeling a little light-headed and sweaty..." Clay: "Ah don't care! You think Ah don't sweat on stage? You folks are gonna rehearse until you get this the way *Ah* want it! Perfection takes tahme, honey! Now DO IT AGAIN!" Actress: *grumbles to self* "Yes sir, Mr. Ah-bang-on-vending-machines-when-Ah-get-pissy and Ah-started-singing-they-shoulda-done-the-key-Ah-sang-it-in." Clay: "What was that?" Actress: "Nothing, sir. I was just commenting on how wonderful a director you are since you're so determined to get things right." *smiles through gritted teeth* Clay: "Good. Now do NOT make me repeat mahself. Mah name is on the ticket so you have to do what Ah say!" Actress: *reviews script again with furrowed brows* "Um sir, may I suggest something?" Clay: "What is it? This better be good." Actress: "I know my character wants to go to the mall to do some Christmas shopping for her boyfriend without being recognized because he works there, but..." *trails off* Clay: "But what?" Actress: "Do you really think wearing a bucket hat is going to prevent him from recognizing her? I mean, wouldn't that just bring *more* attention to her?" Clay: *green eyes turn fiery* "OK, look here, honey... this is *mah* script and *mah* show! What part of 'YOU HAVE TO DO WHAT AH SAY' don't you understand?!" Actress: *cowers in fear* "I understand, Mr. Aiken. I was just making a sugges..." Clay: "Ah'm never wrong, honey. Just keep that in that pretty little head of yours. Now DO IT AGAIN!" Actress: *sighs* "Yes, sir." ~Dr. Nat

Here's another installment of Director Clay. It amuses me that Clay's dialogue is so easy to write.
*Actress finishes lunch and heads back to stage, bumping smack into Jacob, one of Clays back-up singers* Actress: "Oh Jacob, Im sorry!" Jacob: "Thats all right." *smiles* "So you already know my name whats yours?" Actress: "Everyone calls me Nat." Jacob: "Hi Nat. So, hows it goin rehearsing with " *glances around for Clay and sees him talking furiously with one of the set designers* Jacob: *whispers* " Mr. Punisher over there?" Nat: *rolls eyes* "Its going whats up with him anyway? I thought itd be cool to work with him. He always seems so nice and friendly on TV and in concert." Jacob: *smiles knowingly* "Oh, thats what he wants you to think. Ive worked with him for about two years now, and hes got a temper and always thinks hes right about everything." Nat: "Great remind me why I auditioned for this part again?" Jacob: "Because you secretly like that hes bossing you around AND you have a crush on him." *winks* Nat: *blushes* "I do not!" *Clay glances up and sees Jacob and Nat talking* Clay: "Hey, Ah aint payin you two to ![]() Jacob: "Were sorry, Clay. Its my fault. I was just getting to know Nat. Did you need something?" Clay: "Ah already told you what Ah needed if you had been *listening* " ![]() *Jacob grins sheepishly* Clay: *Clay walks over and turns to Jacob* "Ah need you to rehearse your harmonies with Angela over there while I go over these lahnes with " *turns to Nat* "Whats your name again?" Jacob: "Its Nat." Clay: *turns to Jacob* "Well Ah wasnt talkin to you. Did Ah ask you what her name was?" ![]() *Jacob rolls his eyes and heads over to rehearse music with Angela* Clay: "Nat, Ah hope youve had tahme to rehearse some of these lahnes during lunch. Theres absolutely no excuse why you shouldnt have these memorized bah now." Nat: "Im sorry, Mr. Aiken. Its just that " *thinks about making further comment, but decides not to* Clay: "Ah dont want to hear any excuses. What matters is that you have these lahnes memorized. Do you?" Nat: "Yes." Clay: "Good. Now lets do it again." *Nat recites some lines, then pauses * Clay: "NAT! Ah thought you said you had these lahnes memorized?!" Nat: "I did!" Clay: "So whats the problem?" Nat: *toys nervously with hair* "Its just that I would never buy a bunch of striped shirts and shoes that are two sizes too big for my boyfriend it just makes the lines harder to remember." Clay: "Just say the lahnes, will you?!" Nat: *blurts out* "With all due respect sir, you could never remember the lines to When You Say You Love Me during your most recent tour!" *Clays eyes widen and then narrow sharply. He leans towards Nat* Clay: "Look here, honey if you want to keep this job, then Ah suggest you keep your pretty little mouth shut and do what Ah say!" *Nat is scared at first, but then spies something on Clay's chin. She looks closer, and realizes it is a piece of Krispy Kreme. She giggles* ![]() Clay: "Ahm glad you find me threatening to fire you so funny!" *Jacob walks over and looks at Clay* Jacob: "Uh Clay, youve got something on your chin." ![]() Clay: *turns to Nat* "You werent going to say anything about it on my chin. You were just going to laugh about it?" ![]() Nat: "No, I " Clay: "Oh, forget about it just memorize these lahnes, will you?" ![]() Nat: "Yes, sir." ~Dr. Nat

Ok, I have another request. Always want something, don't I? I want an animation of Clay doing that thing with his hand (no, not that thing). You know, the one where he's doing the teacher thing showing someone yapping. Where he says that if the fan had been listening, instead of talking, she'd have heard what he did last night. Instead, she was....then he does that yappy thing. Can someone do an ani of that? ![]() ![]() "He lost the TV show and won our hearts instead." ~laughnoutloud Weapons of Mass Seduction: A Clay Aiken Message Board |

But I see you have a much larger version of it, Dr. Nat.
And I forgot to clarify that I definitely did not make that animation. I just remember seeing it in the pics/graphics section of the CB and I snatched it up. thudclayz made it. Nat...OMG...(gasps for breath) We really do need that 'laughing myself into near incontinence' emoticon. Your ongoing saga is too much.
In between segments, if nobody minds, I wanted to bring over a great little post from pam of the Lecherous Broads...I asked if it was ok for me to put it up here & she said Quote: So MWAH!!! to you YSRN, & here are some deep thoughts... Quote: ![]() |

i know how you feel YSRN. Between real life and still trying to catch up on JBT clack, before JNT2, I haven't had much time to post. I have been reading and enjoying it very much. I am really glad that b]AMANDA and STACIA[/b] finally got together. I am sure you are having a wonderful time. I made notes as I read but they are so out-dated that I will just say thanks for the fun, pictures, links and everything else that makes this my very favorite place in Clayland. WALKING GHOST, |

QM - I've never seen that picture before either... but I also can totally picture the goofy grin he's got on his face even though I can't see anything but his open mouth in that picture. Thanks for all the comments on "Director Clay". Unfortunately, my life is going to become somewhat busy again next month so I don't know how much further I will be able to get with it. ~Dr. Nat
